
When Mark Skaife stepped out of the driver's seat from full-time motor racing in 2008, the most successful driver in Australian Motor Racing History already had his sights set and a business plan in progress for the next chapter in his life. Skaife Next encompasses a number of Mark's business roles to ensure the continued success and growth of the V8 Supercars Australia brand and Australian Motorsport in general. An ambassador for all forms of motorsport, Mark is at the forefront of driver and vehicle development, road and race track design and safety, and is an active spokesperson for the Automotive Industry of Australia.
Broadcasting through both television and radio media, Mark has joined the Channel 7 Sport team as a commentator and co-host for the V8 Supercar Championship Series, V8Extra and the Guide to the Good Life programs. He is also currently co-hosting the new Triple M radio program 'Stick Shift.'
Mark is currently an independent member of the V8 Supercars Australia Board and is a Director of the Australian Motor Sport Foundation which assists the progress of Australia's new talent, home and overseas. He is also on the Technical committee for the V8 supercars and heads the 'Car of the Future' program.
Many tracks around Australia have been designed by Mark or least with his input into the design and the safety aspects of the track layout, Canberra, Hamilton and Townsville to list a few, and the introduction of Homebush street circuit to the V8 Supercar Calendar is the latest project under Skaife Next.
